Willie Marks SLAUGHTERS, KY –
Willie Marks, 83, of Slaughters,
Ky. died at 7:25 a.m. Thursday,
September 11, 2008, at Ridgewood
Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville, Ky.

He was born Feb. 1, 1925, in Webster County, Ky. to the late John Christopher Marks and Elizabeth Moore "Betty" Marks. He was a self-employed farmer and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Imogene Brooks, Martha Toombs;
four brothers, Ben Marks, Lemuel Marks, Bethel Marks, and Leslie Marks.

He is survived by two brothers, John Marks and Bobby Marks both of Evansville, Ind.; one niece and caregiver, Patsy Toombs of Madisonville; one nephew and caregiver, Mark Toombs; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2008, in the chapel at Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Harry Baldwin officiating. Burial will be in Slaughters Cemetery at Slaughters, Ky.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Wilkerson, Timmy Scott, James Scott, Harold Wilkerson, Kenneth Wilkerson, and Hal Roach.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to service time Sunday at Harris
Funeral Home.
