William Reese "Bill" Scott, 74, of Madisonville, Ky. passed away at 3:50 a.m. on Wednesday December 2, 2009 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.

He was born on November 19, 1935 in Muhlenberg County, Ky. to the late Leslie M. Scott and Lois E. Scott. He was a delivery driver for Don Peeler Pharmacy he also worked as a mine engineer. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1958 through 1964. He was a member of Assembly of God in Earlington.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Scott and one brother Claude E. Scott.

He is survived by caregivers, Jon, Kristina, Taylor, and Jaci Childress all of Nortonville, Ky. and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at noon on Friday December 4, 2009 in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville with Bro. Nathan Bruce officiating. Military honors will be conducted by 101st Airborne Division Ft. Campbell and Hopkins County Honor Guard. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.
