William "Billy" Jones, 81, of Manitou, KY passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at his home.

He was born on July 28, 1936 in Madisonville to the late Cora Lee Jones and Franklin Jones. Billy was a welder and a mechanic at Smith Coal Company. He enjoyed restoring cars and loved spending time with his family. Billy attended Concord General Baptist Church in Manitou.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Doug Jones, Curtis Jones, Carroll Jones and L.H. Jones; and sisters, Virginia Hawkins and Adell Duncan.

Survivors include his wife of forty-three years, Jane Jones; son, Greg Jones of Manitou; sister, Onnie Cooper and husband, James of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2018 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Eddie Fleming officiating. Burial to follow at Hanson Cemetery in Hanson, KY.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Ken Jones, Jon Jones, Danny Jones, Eddie Jones, Randy Jones and Roger Jones.

Memorial contributions may be made in Billy's memory to Concord General Baptist Church Building Fund.
