Walter N. Spears, 87,  of Avondale, AZ, passed away on  September 26, 2022.

He was born on August 23, 1935 in Phoenix, AZ to Robert Spears and Doris Crim Spears. Walter lived a full life. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in the 101 ^st Airborne Division. He spent several years as a fireman in Madisonville, KY. In Arizona, he was a police officer from 1960 to 1973. He was also owner and operator of Maryvale Refrigeration and Heating with his son, Chris.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ruth Sharp.

Walt is survived by his wife of 67 years, Sue Spears; daughter, Cheryl Miller; son, Chris Spears and his granddaughters, Jennifer Butler and Taylor Spears.

A private graveside burial will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery on Thursday, October 20, 2022. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of the arrangements.
