Viola Morse, 85, of Madisonville, Ky. passed away at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday May 18, 2011 at Brighton Cornerstone Healthcare in Madisonville.

She was born on September 20, 1925 in Madisonville, Ky. to the late Luther Ipock and Georgie Ann Ipock. She worked at Kentucky Rest Haven (NHC) in the food service department. She was a member of Olive Branch Church in Hanson, Ky.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion H. Morse; and two sons, Allen Shelton and Wayne Shelton.

She is survived by three daughters, Judy (Jerry) Easley of Madisonville, Joyce (Marty) Johnson of North Carolina and Patty Carner of Earlington, Ky.; four sons, Archie (JoAnn) Shelton, Kenneth (Sheila) Morse, Roger (Carrie) Morse all of Madisonville, and Ricky (Susie) Morse of Slaughters, Ky.; One sister; one brother; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday May 21, 2011 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Gary Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Saturday at Harris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be the grandsons.
