Verda Dixon, 56, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at her home.

She was born on August 16, 1960 in Chicago, IL to Stella Dixon and the late, Carl Dixon, Sr. Verda was formerly employed at the family owned business Alicia's Mexican Restaurant. She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers and truly adored her daughters, future son-in-law and her grandchildren.

Survivors include her mother, Stella Dixon of Chicago, IL; daughters, Alicia Lopez and fiance, Matthew McCracken of Madisonville and Connie Collins of Corinth, MS; sisters, Annette Dixon of Martin, TN, Sharon Pike of Buffalo, NY and Denise Dixon of Martin, TN; brother, Carl Dixon, Jr. of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Luke Kiddy, Kelli Kiddy, Layla Lopez, Isaiah Lopez and Brantley McCracken; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Pennyrile Church of Christ in Madisonville with Dr. Sean Neistrath officiating. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville was entrusted with care.
