Vallerie Kay Peyton, 61, of Dalton, KY passed away at 6:02 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

She was born on August 19, 1952 in Evansville, IN to the late Janett Oliver and James "Pete" Oliver. She was a registered nurse at Crittenden County Hospital and attended Dalton Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Gearld (Sandy) Peyton of North Carolina, Bobby (Cheryl) Peyton of Dalton and Russell (Sarah) Peyton of Madisonville; her daughter, Gayle Peyton of Providence, KY; her sister, two brothers; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 25, 2013 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Dennis Mayfield officiating. Burial to follow in Rosecreek Cemetery in Nebo, Ky.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Monday at Harris Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
