Edgar "Travis" Pleasant, 74, of Madisonville, Ky passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Baptist Health Madisonville while surrounded by family. He was the proud operator of Pleasant's Ideal Service Station at 174 W Center St since 1961 and forever the avid fisherman. Travis was born on July 2, 1940 in St. Charles, KY to the late, Edgar and Susie Pleasant.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Laura Jean Long of Madisonville; four brothers, and two sisters.

He was a loving father and husband, survived by his wife Wanda of fifty-six years; daughter, Sheila Buchanan; son, Steve Pleasant; grandchildren, Jason Oldham of Kansas City, Matt Buchanan of Louisville, Whitney Buchanan of Madisonville, Jordan Keim of South Dakota, Samson Pleasant, Jonathon Pleasant, and Brooke Boettcher of North Dakota, Levi Pleasant and Hali Pleasant of Greenville; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, 2015 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Len Young and Bro. Michael Rust officiating. Burial to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Nortonville, KY.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour Sunday at Harris Funeral Home.
