Thomas Smith, 68, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017 at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on July 17, 1948 in Beulah, KY to the late, Orville and Ivy Loraine "Myrtle" Smith. Thomas was a United States Army Veteran and was a self employed master mechanic.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Jo Ann Cates; and brothers, Paul Wayne Smith and Artie Smith.

Survivors include his wife of forty-one years, Linda Smith; daughter, Robin Smith Champeau and son-in-law, Grant of Southaven, MS; step-daughter, Tina Merideth and husband, Raymond of Noblesville, IN; brothers, Hurb Smith, David Wiley both of Madisonville, Raymond Wiley of Murfreesboro, TN, Edward Smith of Dallas, TX, Dan Smith of Chicago, IL and Robbie Smith of Madisonville; seven granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Grace Warehouse Church in Madisonville with Pastor Gary Bennett officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Hopkins County Honor Guard. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville was entrusted with care.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service hour Monday at the church.
