Thomas Hardin Jr. Slaughters Ky.- Thomas Hardin Jr., 67, of Slaughters, died at 6:30a.m. Friday, December 26, 2008, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, Ky.

He was born December 11, 1941, in Hancock County, Ky. to the late Robert Thomas Hardin Sr., and Maggie Buckley Hardin. He was a self employed painter. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Gates Hardin; one brother, Gerald Hardin; and one sister, Virginia Nichols.

He is survived by five sons, John Warren Hardin of Bremen, Ky., Thomas E. Hardin of Sebree, Ky., Phillip Dewayne Hardin of Providence, Ky. David Lynn Hardin and John Darren Hardin both of Slaughters; one daughter, Becky Smith of Madisonville; one brother, Kirby Hardin of Indiana; three grandchildren; and three nieces.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2008 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bro. Gene Rickard officiating. Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery in Hanson Ky.
