Thomas "Tommy – Moose" Edison Woods, 73, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

He was born on May 27, 1950, in Madisonville, KY, to Martha Pryor and the late Edison Turner Woods. He was formerly employed at Period Furniture and as a laundry specialist at West Kentucky Hospital Services. He enjoyed rescue work and mechanic work. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers football fan. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Tommy was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Donald Pryor; son, Mark Gilbert; and great-grandson, Jayson Inghram.

Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Sandra Edens Woods of Madisonville; mother, Martha Pryor of Madisonville; son, Jason Woods of Madisonville; brothers, Johnny (Teresa) Woods, Harvey Woods, and David Woods, all of Madisonville; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024, in the chapel at Harris Funeral Home with Bro. Len Young officiating. Burial to follow at Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Barry McGar, Jon Tomes, Ryan McGar, Shane Chapman, Ted Patterson, and Marcus "TJ" Gilbert, Jr.
