Theresa Amelia Stallings Daugherty, 76, of Manitou, KY passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

She was born on March 8, 1942 in Owensboro, KY to the late Mary Magdalene Stallings and Andrew Clemens Stallings. Theresa was formerly a nurse at Our Lady of Mercy  in Owensboro. She enjoyed fishing, camping, planting flowers and gardening. Theresa was of the Catholic faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Avery Daugherty; brothers, Phillip Stallings, Michael Stallings, Henry Steve Stallings, Joseph Stallings and Patrick Henry Stallings; daughter, Amy Sue Daugherty; sister, Carol Snyder; and step-children, Roger Daugherty and Ed Daugherty.

Survivors include her daughters, Merri  Margaret (Dennis) Embry of Manitou, KY, Michaelle "Shelly" (Terry) Peveler of Nelson, Creek, KY, Catherine "Cathy Raye" (Marcus) Arnold of Manitou, and Amanda Jean (Eugene) Gallion of Beaver Dam, KY; sons, James Anthony "Jim" (Tabby) Hester of Central City, KY and Andrew Hudson "Andy" (Amy) Daugherty of Bremen, KY; sisters, Mary Juanita Arnold and Iris Ann Stallings; brother, Richard Stallings; step-children, Glen Daugherty, Tony Daugherty, Jean Davis and Sharon McIntire; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Jared Baker officiating. Burial to follow at Hanson Cemetery in Hanson, KY.

The visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Brandon Dakota Gallion, Marcus Wade Walker, Christopher Shane Walker, Terry Dale Peveler, Jr., Thomas Chad Tarrants and Andrew Hudson Daugherty II.
