Sue Verne, 76, of Central City, KY. passed away at 2:20 p.m. on Sunday June 27, 2010 at Muhlenburg County Hospital in Greenville, KY after a brief illness.

She was born on August 31, 1933 in Harrisville, WV. to the late Samuel Lindsey and Ortie Parker Lindsey. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Green River Chapel in Central City, KY.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ernest Raymond Verne and a son William Cook.

She is survived by a daughter Diana Croxton of Central City, KY; a son John A. Minton of Clarksville, TN; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.

A celebration of her life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville, KY with Rev. Jewell Martin officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville, Ky.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday at Harris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
