Steven Dale Oakley's Obituary
Steven Dale Oakley, 67, of Madisonville, Ky passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016 at home with his loved ones by his side.
He was born on January 22, 1949 in Evansville, IN to the late, Vanetta Oakley Buchanan and Elvis Oakley. Steven was a self employed farmer. He loved his pets Sophie, Goober and Beetle very much.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his infant sister and his brother-in-law, Mike Poole.
Survivors include his son, Ethan Oakley of Hanson, KY; partner and companion, Marie Adams of Madisonville; sister, Karen Poole of Sebree, KY; brother, Gary Oakley and wife, Brenda of Slaughters, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 10, 2016 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. John Gibson officiating. Burial to follow at Olive Branch Cemetery in Hanson.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Michael Simpson, Todd Roberts, Darryl Knowles, Todd Townsend and Ethan Oakley.
Memorial contributions may be made in Steven's memory to the Hopkins County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
