Steven Desmond Hargis, 49, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 5:45 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2015 at his home.

He was born on October 12, 1965 in Hopkinsville, Ky to Linda Haskins Hargis and the late Desmond Hargis. He was a 1983 graduate from Madisonville North Hopkins High School and a 1987 graduate from Kentucky Wesleyan College where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity.
He was employed in the technical support department of at&t and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his mother, Linda Haskins Hargis of Madisonville; his wife, Lisa Stewart Hargis; his son, Harrison Desmond Hargis of Madisonville; his daughter, Ryan Elizabeth Hargis of Madisonville and his uncle, Ned Haskins of Crofton, KY.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2015 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Rev. John Wesley Bowling officiating. Burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Hopkinsville, KY.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Thursday at Harris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be the Madisonville North Hopkins Varsity Baseball Team.
