Shizuko Imamura Barratt, 80, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Madisonville Health and Rehab.

She was born on December 21, 1943, in Yatsushiro, Japan, to the late Natsue Yamada Imamura and Naoto Imamura. She loved vegetable gardening and flower gardening.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Barratt; and sister, Kinuko Breese.

Survivors include her sister, Nobuko Fogle; nieces, Tonia (David) Griffey of Manitou, KY, Melanie (Jerry) Law of Hanson, KY, and Mika (Chad) VanEperen of Omaha, NE; and nephews, Bill (Paula) Breese and Rick (Julie) Breese, both of Omaha, NE.

A private graveside service will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY. Harris Funeral Home was entrusted with care.
