Shirley Faye Tipton Wells, 87, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Brighton Cornerstone Healthcare in Madisonville.

She was born on July 20, 1931 in Madisonville to the late Margaret Shelton Tipton and William Trapnell. Shirley was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She truly enjoyed nature, she loved animals, birds and planting flowers and loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry H. Wells, Jr.; daughter, Christine Young; and her sister, Sue Flick.

Survivors include her sons, Mike (Barbara) Wells and David (Jeanne) Wells both of Madisonville; daughters, Cathy (Mickey) Howard of Lexington, KY and Martha (Jeff) Jackson of Goodlettsville, TN; brother, Steve (Alma) Tipton of Alabama; sister, Sandra Hulen of Arkansas; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 2424 Anton Rd. Madisonville, KY 42431 with Bro. Scott Basham officiating. Burial will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery at a later date. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville was entrusted with care.

The visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until the service hour Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Another gathering of friends and family to celebrate special memories of Shirley will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Shirley's memory to the donor's charity of choice.
