Shari Renee Hawes Taylor, 59, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville.

She was born on January 3, 1967, in Evansville, IN, to the late Lawrence Hawes and Brenda Burden Messinger. Shari enjoyed gardening and music. Shari was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her mother and step father, Brenda and Bruce Messinger of Madisonville; daughters, Karley (Billy) Hodges of Cumberland Furnance, TN and Elizabeth McKnight (Ronnie) Skaggs of Hanson, KY; brother, Joshua (Nicky) Messinger of Madisonville; grandchildren, Aubree Hodges and Eli Skaggs; nephew, Landen Messinger; niece, Aaliyah Messinger; and her companion, Ashley McKnight.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Bethlehem Cemetery in Madisonville with Mack Wells officiating. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville was entrusted with care.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shari Taylor monument fund. Donations may be made at the funeral home.
