Shannon Hunter Ellis, 45 of Hopkinsville, KY passed away at her residence.

She was born on May 10, 1972 to the late Jean Ann Essin Hunter and Phillip Eugene Hunter. Shannon was a graduate of Woodward High School in Woodward, OK. She enjoyed fishing, hiking and loved the outdoors.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Benjamin Scott Hunter.

Survivors include her daughter, Lindsey Woodbury of Oklahoma City, OK; son, Levi Woodbury of Kansas City, KS; her siblings, Dedria "Spoon" Barker and husband, Jerry of Anchorage, AK, Rodney Hunter of Mooreland, OK and Laura Harper and husband, Bob of Wichita, KS; uncle, Charles Essin of Goltry, OK; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville was entrusted with care.
