Sarah Ellen Ransom, 59, of Nebo, KY passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at her home.

She was born on June 22, 1956 in Nebo to the late Lucille and Levi "Dick" Pryor. Sarah was employed with General Electric in Madisonville and was a member of Johnson Island Baptist Church. In her spare time she loved to read.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Cleve Pryor, Walter Pryor and Samuel Pryor; and her sister, Mada Armstrong.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-five years, Carl Ransom, Sr.; son, Carl Ransom, Jr. of Nebo; daughter, Amanda Fackler and husband, Philip of Chattanooga, TN; brothers, Roger Pryor and wife, Frieda of Bremen, KY and Harland Pryor and wife, Barbara of Nebo; sisters, Sue Gibson and husband, Hayden of Slaughters, KY, Nora Smith and husband, Boyd of Nebo and Brenda Moore and husband, Frank of Kuttawa, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, April 4, 2016 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Billy Parrish officiating and Justin Pryor assisting. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour Monday at the funeral home.
