Sandra Joyce Tauber Armey, 77, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

She was born on August 24, 1941 in Gary, IN to the late Virginia (Chambers) and Herschel Tauber. Sandra was formerly employed with EJ&E Railroad as an administrative assistant and was a member of First Baptist Church in Madisonville. She enjoyed interior decorating and landscaping.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas J. Tauber.

Survivors include her sons, Matthew (Marsi) Archer of Joplin, MO and Andrew James Lewis Armey of Nortonville, KY; brothers, Jack (Debbie) Tauber of St. John, IN and Tim L. Tauber of Indiana; sister, Linda Sue Lang of Florida; grandson, Donald Archer of Joplin; granddaughter, Jennifer Archer of Joplin; several nieces and nephews; and her dear friends whom she had a wonderful relationship for over 65 years, Claudette, Pat, Barbara and Jackie.

The family wanted to share a special poem written by her good friend Melinda Ezell: Goodbye, Miss Sandy, we know we will see you again on the streets of gold holding Jesus's hand. We are glad we got to know you, you were such a dear sweet friend. Your life on earth is over but your living has just begun. We are glad you got to go, sad you could not stay, but we know we will see you, one bright glorious day.

Per Sandra's request there will be no service. A burial will be held at Hickory Cemetery in Dugger, IN. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of the arrangements.
