Ruth Jacinto Ferrell, 81, of Dawson Springs, KY, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at her home with her daughter and son-in-law by her side.

She was born on February 29, 1944, in Chicago, IL, to the late Josefine and Ireno Jacinto. She was formerly employed by Nabisco and Keebler Cookie Company. She loved making crafts and participating in craft shows. She loved her family very much and loved to laugh and talk.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Ruthann Ferrell; and her siblings, Victor, Cruz, Rebeca, Butch, Jerry, Josie, Abbie, Spanky, and David.

Her survivors include her children, Tina (Tom) Gomez-Ferrell of Dawson Springs, KY, and Scott Ferrell of Gary, IN; grandchildren, Hilary Gomez Ferrell, William (Hannah) Gomez-Ferrell, Tara (Scott) Stepanian, Ashley (RJ) Garza, and Tori Ferrell; great-grandchildren, Cody, Mila, Tessa, Ivey, Averie, Zoey, Kye, Carter, and her Princess Annie Oakley, all of northern Indiana; her siblings, Felisa, Bonnie, Sarah, Irene, Beatrice, and Virginia; many cousins, nieces, and nephews, including one extra special niece that was like a daughter to her, Laura (Albert) Vidal.

Ruth was an absolute joy to be around and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held in Chicago, IL, at a later date. Harris Funeral Home was entrusted with care.
