Ruth A. Utley Farris, 76, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Dawson Springs Health and Rehabilitation in Dawson Springs, KY.

She was born on March 23, 1949, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Geneva "Kate" Robards Utley May and William Ruby Utley. She was formerly employed as a real estate agent for Realty World. She also worked at Manufacturers Supply and most recently at the county clerk's office. She enjoyed gardening, canning, dancing, and was an avid UK Basketball fan. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Ruth was a member of Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony "Tony" Paul Farris.

Her survivors include her son, William "Tony" (Amy) Farris of Madisonville; brother, Mike Utley of Louisville, KY; grandsons, Derek Farris, Zachary Farris, and Liam Farris, all of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Taylor officiating. A private burial will be held at Olive Branch Cemetery in Hanson, KY.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday at the funeral home.
