Rubye Slaton's Obituary
Rubye Slaton, 104, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Baptist Health Madisonville.
She was born on December 27, 1912 in Dalton KY, to the late Sarah Ellen Traylor and David Andrew Traylor. Rubye was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed sewing, music and was an avid UK fan.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Slaton; three brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include her nieces, Wanda Williams of KY, Shirley Selep of IL, and Louise Bay of KY; nephew, Donald Rollins of TN; and several great nieces and great nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Bobby Sellers officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour Saturday at the funeral home.
