Ruby Irene Parish, 95, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

She was born on May 26, 1919 in Nebo, KY to the late Cassie Duncan and Dock Duncan. She was a member of Concord General Baptist Church in Manitou where she loved working. Ruby enjoyed quilting, traveling and eating out.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Lee Parish; her sons, Jerry Wayne Parish and Dwight Howard Parish; and her sisters, Verlie Parish, Edna Fuson and Ann Winstead.

She is survived by her daughters, Judy (Don) Moore of Madisonville and Patsy (Hubert) Stone of Dixon, KY; her grandsons, Kevin Clayton, Keith Clayton, Colen Parish, Brad Parish and Alvin Stone; her granddaughters, Karen Clayton, Teresa Robinson, Donna Moore, Cristal Richardson, Karen Courtney, Callie Phillips, Morgan Phillips and Sara Phillips; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Concord General Baptist Church in Manitou, KY with Bro. Eddie Fleming officiating and Bro. Brian Richardson assisting. Burial to follow at Concord Cemetery in Manitou.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville and from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Thursday at Concord General Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Clayton, Keith Clayton, Brad Parish, Michael Arnold, Duane Arnold and Bruce Arnold.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ruby' s memory to Concord Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
