Roy Thomas Back, 78, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

He was born on April 30, 1944, to the late Polly Rodgers Browne and Frank Back. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was formerly employed as a mechanic at the Anton airport. He enjoyed cars and trucks and collecting firearms. Roy was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Garland Back.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-two years, Etta Clayton Back of Madisonville; daughter, Teresa Nostal of Michigan; brother, Sam Back of Nortonville, KY; sisters, Ruthie Back and Rachel Back, both of Nortonville; special nephew, Dan Back of Nortonville; and several other nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Harris Funeral Home was entrusted with care.
