Rosa Allen Lear Powell, 53, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.

She was born on May 29, 1963 in Madisonville, KY to the late Eva Lillian Allen and Clarence Edward Allen. Rosa enjoyed gardening and drawing. She was the lead singer of the gospel group One's For Worship and was of the Holiness faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her granddaughter,
Azaria Davis.

Survivors include her fiance, Tim Plunckett of Madisonville; daughters, Rita Lear, Kristen Cope and husband, Shawn all of Madisonville, Teri Lynn Lear and husband, Josh of Sebree, KY and Angel Steele of Earlington, KY; son, Jason Kestner of Pennsylvania; brothers, James Edward Allen and John Edward Allen; sisters, Etha Mae Kestner, Loretta Lynn DeArmond and Melissa Allen; grandchildren, Avery Faulk, Jacob Walden and Sabra Richards; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 13, 2016 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Richard Sorrells officiating. Burial to follow at Concord Cemetery in White Plains, KY.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Shawn Cope, Josh Walden, Travis Moore, Clarence Dalton, Mike Macaw and Danny C. Williams.
