Ronald Leslie Pendley, 76, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at his home.

He was born on June 23, 1942 in Earlington, KY to the late Tommy Irene Pendley and Jewell Willard Pendley. Ronald was a United States Army Veteran and was a coal miner with P&M Coal Mines. He enjoyed working on small engines and enjoyed building things. Ronald was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Cleatus Pendley, Bill Pendley, Earl Pendley and Douglas Pendley.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-three years, Charlene Pendley; daughters, Lisa Downey of Madisonville and Elizabeth Diane Miller and husband, Robert of Jacksonville, FL; son, Jonathan Pendley of Madisonville; sisters, Wanda Villines of Warsaw, KY and Dixie Suthard and husband, Truman of Mortons Gap, KY; brother, Dennis Pendley and wife, Sheila of Madisonville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held with military honors by the Hopkins County Honor Guard at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 30, 2018 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Chuck Evans officiating A private burial will be held at New Salem Cemetery in Nortonville.

The visitation will be from Noon until the funeral hour Sunday at the funeral home.
