Robert Elliott Girdley, 86, of Manitou, KY passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at his home.

He was born on March 12, 1937, in Burn City, IN, to the late Barbara Pierson and Porter Girdley. He worked as a surveyor at Bernard Lochmueller. He was an avid reader and woodworker. Robert's pride and joy were the family's farm, his orchard, and his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Ester Girdley; sister, Diana Fox; and stepbrother, Jerry Noble.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Delores Girdley; children, Kylen Girdley (Lisa) of Newburgh, IN, Robbie Girdley of Indiana, and Toni Titzer of Indiana; stepdaughter, Cymantha Rideout of Manitou; stepson, Shannon Cline of Manitou; brother, Arch Girdley of Colorado; stepsister, Linda Crawford of Boonville, IN; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the Girdley Family Cemetery with grandson, Scott Lovan, giving his eulogy. Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers are Scott Lovan, Jordan Carter, Mason Wickham, Matthew Williams, Jeff Rideout, and Tracy Morgan.
