Robert "Bob" Gene Florea, 75, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at his home.

He was born on October 24, 1947, in Niles, MI, to the late Pauline Brouse Burema and the father that raised him, Don Burema. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was formerly employed as a coal miner for Hopkins County Coal and was the owner and operator of Bob's Welding. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and doing repairs for his friends and neighbors. Bob was a member of Richland Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Snyder.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-two years, Diana Ramsey Florea; sons, Jeff (Katrina) Florea of Madisonville, Josh (Felecia) Florea of Nebo, KY, and Matt (Alison) Florea of Madisonville; brothers, Tom (Dianna) Florea of MI and Don (Mary Ellen) Florea of IN; sister, Marsha (Frank) Martin of IN; eleven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

A private inurnment will be held at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY. Harris Funeral Home was entrusted with care.
