Robert Barnett, 80, of Earlington, KY went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 28, 2014.

He was born on February 14, 1934 in Madisonville, KY to the late Ida Nelson Barnett and William Henry Barnett. He was formerly a coal miner at Peabody Coal Company. He was of the Christian faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Donnie Barnett; his brothers, Terry Lovan and Jerry Lovan; and his sister, Diane Brown.

He is survived by his daughters, Mary Bedwell of Earlington and Janet Daniels of Madisonville; his sisters, Betty Buskhell of Madisonville, Beatrice Schmit of St. Louis, MO, Billie Nelson of Arnold, MO and Kathy Lovan of Festus, MO; his brother, Ronnie Barnett of Festus; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 31, 2014 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. William Brown officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from noon until the funeral hour Sunday at Harris Funeral Home.
