Robbie Jean Downey, 76, of Madisonville, KY. passed away at 1:45 a.m. on Monday May 3, 2010 at NHC Healthcare in Madisonville.

She was born on January 3, 1933 in Hopkins County, KY. to the late William Rhea Downey and Mary Josephine Lenning Downey. She was a homemaker and would often babysit children. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Madisonville and was also a member of Yates Sunday School Class.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jewell (Charles) Pirozzoli; two nephews, Sam (Becky) Ferrell and Neal (Cindy) Ferrell; one great nephew, Barry Ferrell; one great niece, Sarah Bean; two step nephews, Charles W. Pirozzoli and Mark Pirozzoli; one step niece, Elizabeth Pirozzoli Conrad; two aunts, Irene Coble who was also her caregiver and Imogene Osbourne.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday May 6, 2010 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Dr. Joe Leonard officiating. Burial will be in Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville.

Friends may call from 11 a.m until service time Thursday at Harris Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and First Baptist Church in Madisonville.
