Robbie Clayton Blue, 81, of Hanson, KY passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

She was born on September 24, 1934 in Madisonville, Ky to the late Alma and Walker Clayton. Robbie was formerly a lunch room manager at Hanson Elementary. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Robbie loved her church family at Hanson United Methodist Church where she was a member for fifty-six years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jerry Shadrick.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-one years, Dick Blue; sons, Jeff Blue and wife, Kathi of Madisonville and Trent Blue and wife, Debbie of Madisonville; daughters, Julie Parker and husband, Jerry of Henderson, KY and Lori Qualls and husband, Dorris of Sebree, KY; brothers, Bill Clayton and Johnny Clayton both of Madisonville; sisters, June Hibbs of Earlington, KY and Martha Bearden of Nebo, KY; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2016 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Pastor William Moore officiating. Burial to follow in Hanson Cemetery in Hanson.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Colin Blue, Dustin Blue, Cody Qualls, Chad Baldwin, Andrew Swanson and Logan Midkiff. Honorary pallbearers are Carl Veazey, Ben Turner, Bob Kirby, Jerry Parker and Johnny Speight.

Memorial contributions may be made in Robbie's memory to Hanson United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
