Rita Faye Perkins, 59, of Nortonville, KY passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

She was born on August 16, 1958 in Madisonville to Nell Cooper and the late, James Bailey Cooper. Rita was formerly a produce department manager of Save A Lot and was of the Holiness faith. Rita did not have children but loved spoiling her nieces and great nieces.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband, James Anthony Perkins.

Survivors include her mother, Nell Cooper of Mortons Gap, KY; brothers, James Cooper and wife, Beth, Steve Cooper and wife, Julie both of Sturgis, KY and Gene Cooper of Earlington, KY; sisters, Robbie Brown and husband, Randy of Mannington, KY, Theresa Patterson and husband, Scotty of Nortonville and Hope Brown of Dawson Springs, KY; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces; and her God children, Trinity Patterson, Madison Caraway and Payton Sissom.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Tommy Hayes officiating. Burial to follow at Old Salem Cemetery in Mortons Gap.

The visitation will be from Noon until the funeral hour Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are John Cooper, Jimmy Cooper, Jason Cooper, Matt Brown, Danny Cooper and Randy Brown. Honorary pallbearer is Scotty Patterson.
