Ricky Thomas Roberts, 64, of Manitou, KY passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017 at his home.

He was born on January 12, 1953 in Madisonville, KY to Thomas Roberts and the late Mildred Branson. Ricky retired from RJ Temper Incorporated in 2016 after forty-six years of working in the mining industry. He was a loving caring man who enjoyed helping others. When Ricky became your friend, he was a friend for life. He was always smiling and was happy and will truly be missed by everyone who knew him.

In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his brothers, Danny Joe Roberts and Rusty Branson; sister, Kathy Sue Hogart and sister-in-law, Teresa Roberts.

Survivors include his wife of forty-six years, Shelia Roberts; his father, Thomas Roberts and wife, Vaneta Roberts; son, Nathan Roberts; sisters, Debbie Lucas and husband Shawn and Mia Branson; brothers, Shawn Branson and Matthew Roberts and wife, Karen; nieces, Kalley Jo Roberts, Chelsea Hogart, Elizabeth Wilson and Hannah Spurlin; nephews, Daniel Nisbet and Russ Hogart; and seven great-nieces and four great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 30, 2017 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Eddie Hardin officiating. A burial will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service hour Monday at the funeral home.
