Ricky Dale Franklin, 53, of Nebo, KY passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.

He was born on May 11, 1965 in Chicago, IL to Gwendolyn Sue Franklin and the late Jessie Thomas Franklin. Ricky was a self employed landscaper and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed drawing and music.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Franklin.

Survivors include his mother, Gwendolyn Sue Franklin of Nebo; brothers, Gordon (Cynthia) Franklin of North Dakota and Jessie (Jessica) Franklin of Frankfort, IL; sisters, Debra Summers of Dawson Springs, KY and Ruth (Thomas) Keaveney of Mokena, IL; Fiancee, Lillian Poston of Nebo; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2019 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Nathan Bone officiating. Burial to follow at Silent Run Baptist Church.

The visitation will be from Noon until the funeral hour Sunday at the funeral home.
