Ricky Dale Cox, 57, of Nebo, Ky passed away at 8:47 p.m. on Friday July 1, 2011 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.

He was born on October 7, 1953, in Madisonville, Ky. to the late Herbert Lee Cox and Frances Riggs Cox. He was retired from Local #633 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union in Owensboro, Ky. He was a member of the Ensor Masonic Lodge #729 in Ensor, Ky. He was a christian.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Riggs.

He is survived by his son, Tyler Matthew Cox of Nebo, Ky.; two daughters, Ashley L. Cox of Utica, Ky. and Chelsea B. Cox of Nebo, Ky.; a sister, Darlene (Larry) Finley of Deanefield, Ky.; two brothers, Herbert J. (Betty) Cox of Madisonville, Ky. and Donnie L. Cox of Lewisport, Ky.; five grandchildren, Zachary M. Cox, Jayden Hastie, Evan Hastie, Brooklyn Hastie and Ryan Hastie; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday July 4, 2011 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Rev. Richard Sisk officiating. Burial will be in Onton Cemetery in Onton, Ky. Masonic services will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday July 3, 2011 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Tyler Cox, Zachary M. Cox, Punkin Cox, B.J. Cox, Donnie L. Cox and Ben Riggs.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Monday at Harris Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
