Richard Lee Harris, 89, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 5:50 a.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the Eddie Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, Ky.

He was born on November 19, 1925 in Anton, KY to the late Raymond Harris and Annie B. Hailey. He was a United States Navy Veteran and was formerly a custodian for Martin 4 Theaters in Madisonville. Richard was of the Catholic faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Lee Harris; and a son, Ricky Lee Adams.

He is survived by his sons, Joe Harris of Texas, Billy Ray Harris and Robert Lee Harris both of Madisonville, KY; sisters, Elizabeth Fowler of Illinois; Emily Thompson of Anton, KY; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, March 12, 2015 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Sam Beeny officiating. Burial will be private at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY. Military honors will be conducted graveside by the United States Navy.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Thursday at Harris Funeral Home.
