Reda Gunther Turner, 80, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

She was born on August 2, 1941 in Richland, KY to the late Nola Butler Gunther Scott and Kell Gunther. Reda was formerly the office manager of the Nebo Water District in Nebo, KY and was the former secretary of the Manitou Fire Department in Manitou, KY. She was a member of Oakley Home General Baptist Church in Manitou.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-two years, Gene Turner; son, James Turner; brothers, James Thomas "J.T." Gunther and Kelly Gunther; sisters, Mary Gunther, Lucille Davis and Annie Gunther; and her son-in-law, William "Buck" Parker.

Survivors include her daughter, Martha Parker of Madisonville; son, Lyndle (Gail) Turner of Hanson; grandchildren, Justin Turner, Jeremy Turner, Shanna Turner, Lyndsey Marvel, Jared Turner, Aaron Turner and Harley Parker; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her daughter-in-law, Gwen Turner of Madisonville.

The funeral will be held at Noon on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Bill Crabtree officiating. Burial to follow at Concord General Baptist Church Cemetery in Manitou.

A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Wednesday at the funeral home.

The pallbearers are Justin Turner, Jeremy Turner, Jared Turner, Aaron Turner, Brian Rice and Jerry Russ. Honorary pallbearers are Chad Marvel and Caleb Coy.
