MADISONVILLE, KY – Rebecca Felty Gordon, 88, of Madisonville, Ky. died Sunday, August 10, 2008, at 1:30 a.m. at Brighton Cornerstone Nursing Home in Madisonville, Ky.

She was born December 11, 1919, in Butler County, Ky. to the late John William Felty and Susan Duke Felty. She was a homemaker. She also worked in central supply at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville retiring in 1985. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Madisonville. She graduated from Anton High School on May 19, 1939.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Gordon; two sons, William Edward Gordon, Ellis Lee Gordon; one sister, Lucille Burden; and one great-grandson, Matthew Hartline. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James and Georgia Gordon of Nortonville, Ky.; three grandchildren and spouses, Leasa and Tim McCuiston, James Michael and Jackie Gordon, and Linda and Tim Spradlin; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2008, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville, with Rev. Nathan Bruce officiating. Burial will be in Hicklin Cemetery in Anton.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and from 8 a.m. until service time Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home.
