Raymond H. Gibson Madisonville, Ky.- Raymond H. Gibson, 73, of Madisonville, died at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2009, at his residence.

He was born November 4, 1935, in Hopkins County, Ky., to the late Omer & Goldie Jones Gibson. He retired from Birmingham Bolt where he worked as a fork lift operator. He was also a timber cutter for 50 years. He was a member of Concord General Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Eva Jean Gibson and two brothers, Billy Gibson and Ray Gibson.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Gibson of Madisonville; three sons and daughter-in-law, Darrell Gibson of Eddyville, Ky., Roger Gibson of Newburgh, Ind., Marvin and Susan Gibson of Evansville, Ind.; two brothers, Carl Gibson and James Gibson; three sisters, Mary Evelyn Alexander, Nancy Jones Zungia and Shirley Ann Bowles; one half-brother, four half-sisters, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and special caregivers, Jerry and Carolyn Dame.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2009, in the chapel at Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Eddie Fleming officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

Pallbearers will be Robert Gibson, Clifton Gibson, Michael Gibson, Adam Gibson, Jordan Gibson and Nathan Gibson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Dame and Shirley Nesmith.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home.
