Ralph D. Bruce, 77, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on August 3, 2021, at Ridgewood Terrace Health and Rehabilitation in Madisonville.

He was born in Madisonville to the late Lucy Irene Duncan Bruce and Jimmy Bruce. Ralph was a retired United States Navy veteran. He enjoyed basketball, traveling, and was a huge fan of UK Basketball. He was of the Christian faith.

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Caroline Marie Crabtree Bruce and his brother, James Bruce.

Survivors include his daughter, Angel (Heath) Baker of Madisonville; son, Eddie Bruce of Madisonville; sisters, Betty Jones and Joyce Niceley of Madisonville; brother, Richard Bruce of Madisonville; granddaughters, Leslie (Zach) Hall of Hanson, KY, Destiny Bruce of Madisonville, and Sybrina (Nephi) Fesolai of Hawaii; three great-grandsons; several nieces and nephews; and his fiancée, Linda Grigsby of Slaughters, KY.

The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2021, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Pastor Tommy Hayes officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Hopkins County Honor Guard at the funeral home.

A visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the funeral hour Friday at the funeral home.
