Polly Young, 77, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

She was born on July 26, 1941 in Sardis, MS to the late Elouise and Wilson Maston Hope. Polly was formerly employed with Regional Medical Center in Madisonville and was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed writing poems, and dearly loved her pets. Polly loved mingling with people and never met a stranger.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her her husband, June Elbert Young; and her brother, Butch Hope.

Survivors include her sons, Steve (Lisa) Young of Calhoun, KY and John D. young of Madisonville; sister, Bonnie Moore of Joplin, MO; brother, Larry (Sarah) Hope of Ridgeland, MS; granddaughters, Hilary (Matt) Vandiver of Calhoun, KY and Mary Young of California; grandson, Kyle (Carmen) Young of St. Louis, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2019 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Chaplain Pat Dew officiating. Burial to be held at a later date at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville.

The visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the service hour Thursday at the funeral home.
