Placido Serafin, 94, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Brighton Cornerstone Healthcare in Madisonville.

He was born on August 21, 1921 in Caibarien, Cuba to the late Flora Jover Serafin and Placido Serafin. Placido was formerly employed with Navastar International and was of the Catholic faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Serafin on May 7, 2008.

Survivors include his son, Herb Serafin and wife Brenda of Madisonville; daughter, Mayra Serafin of Pflugerville, TX; three granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of the arrangements.
