Peggy Sue Austin Phillips, 81, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

She was born on March 8, 1940, to the late Geneva Dockery Austin and Clarence Austin. She was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Billy Lou Phillips II; her daughter, Tamara Carlene Chaney; three sisters; and one brother.

Survivors include her son, Charles Phillips of Madisonville; her sisters, Ruth Francis of Hanson, KY, Amber Brackett of Central City, KY, and Shirley (Billy) Vaughn of Newburgh, IN; her brother, Billy (Kim) Austin of Vandetta, KY; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no services. Burial to be held at a later date. Harris Funeral Home was entrusted with care.
