Pauline
Boyd
May 1, 1934 — Feb 27, 2024
St. Charles
On February 27, 2024 at 5:40 AM, Esta Pauline Boyd, 89, beloved mother, mamaw, granny, and sister passed from this earth, while surrounded by her loving family, and into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Pauline was born on May 1, 1934, in Bowie, Arizona. She was raised by her mother, the late Tildie Mozelle Perkins and Clarence Blackwell Perkins. Pauline was a member of the Baptist faith. She led a life of adventure, in which she enjoyed traveling throughout the United States admiring the Lord's creation and all of the wonder it has to offer. She also enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was often known to be the life of family events with her straightforward attitude and blunt sense of humor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Donna (Bobby Jo) Boyd; grandchildren, Helen Pauline Barton, Billy Jo Boyd, and Blake Bratcher; siblings, Howard, Eugene, Mae, Ruby, Linda, and Katherine; and her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who met her when she walked through the gates of Heaven.
Survivors include her children, Clarence Barton of Madisonville, KY, George "Boo" Barton of Dawson Springs, KY, Randy "Barney" Barton of Nortonville, KY, and William "Punky" (Beverly) Boyd of Saint Charles, KY; siblings Dorothy Marks, Francis Marks, James Perkins, Alan Perkins, George Perkins, Calvin Perkins; fifteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren; nineteen great-great-grandchildren; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Phaup officiating. Burial to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Nortonville, KY.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday at the funeral home.
While words can't express the grief, we feel from the loss of such a unique and special woman, we find comfort in knowing that she is resting in the presence of her Lord and loved ones gone before, now free from the suffering of this world and free of pain for eternity. Though our hearts feel deeply the void her absence left behind and our eyes shed tears of mourning we will cherish the memories left behind until we meet again one day in our eternal home.
Pallbearers are David Dunbar, Dylan Kennedy, Jacob Blanton, Anthony Winters, John Wright, and Johnny Johnson. Honorary pallbearer is Brandon Barton.
