Patty Jo Gipson, 68, of Hanson, KY passed away at 7 a.m on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at her home.

She was born on November 21 1943 in Madisonville, KY to the late Marvine and Curtis Lowe. She was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Gipson; and her daughter, Vanessa Gipson.

She is survived by her two daughters, Laura (James) Love and Jamie (Kevin) Parkest all of Slaughters, KY; her brother, Tony Lowe of Hanson; her sister, Angela Clark of Hanson; three granddaughters, Jo Beth Love, Lauren Love and Emily Love all of Slaughters; her grandson, Jonathan Parkest of Slaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Pastor William Moore officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery in Hanson.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Thursday at Harris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Josh Townsend, Phillip Buchanan, Timmy Huggins, Ricky Woodruff, Shane Gossett and Nathan Gossett.
