Ovel Hankins, 100, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 5:40 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2013 at NHC Healthcare Madisonville.

She was born on October 7, 1913 in Dalton, KY to the late Lela and Loyd Sisk. She was a member of The Greater Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Madisonville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two infant sons; her daughter, Wanetta Ford; her husband, James Hankins; a sister and three brothers.

She is survived by her daughters, Aretta (Pee Wee) Dickerson, Freda Doster both of Madisonville and Jeanette Markos of Bloomsdale, MO; her son, J.D. (Pat) Hankins of Whitestown, IN; her sister, Oneal Ethridge of Dalton, KY; her brother, G.D. Sisk of Marshall, IN; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2013 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Ronnie Hendricks officiating. Burial to follow in Lafayette Cemetery near Dawson Springs, KY.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Friday at Harris Funeral Home.
