Moyar B. "Flash" Pleasant, 77, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, IN.

He was born on June 23, 1939 in Madisonville, KY to the late Edna Lois Pleasant and Ruby L. Pleasant. Flash was a self employed truck driver and a retired UMWA coal miner from Drummond Coal Company. He enjoyed car racing and drinking coffee with his friends at Denny's, South Main Cafe and Market Place. Flash enjoyed those special moments of spending time with his brother, Allen.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, James "Hank" Pleasant.

Survivors include his daughters, Moryla Attebury and husband, Jason of Hanson, KY and Anita Henniger and husband, Bill of Lemoore, CA; sons, David Pleasant, Steve Pleasant and wife, Josephine all of Lemoore and Larry Kaitschuck and wife, Cathy of Willmington, IL; brothers, Allen Pleasant and Perry L. Johnson; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 30, 2016 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Brother Danny Lutz officiating. Burial to follow at Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday with a Masonic service at 6 p.m. and from Noon until the funeral hour Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Matthew Flener, Steve Pleasant, Dylan Pleasant, Joshua Peyton, Roger Hulsey, Roger Cron, Joe Oldham and Robert "B.J." Bryant. Honorary pallbearers are Mickey Cansler, Bill Henninger, Chad Kaitschuck, Spencer Bloodworth, Jessica Flener, Kori Hansen, Kelly Tenn, Candis Rodriguez, Alli Pleasant, Aaron Rodriguez, McKenzie Hubbard, Taylor Tenn, Teagan Tenn, Hunter Kaitschuck, Emmariah Kaitschuck, Bryce Flener, Kaylee Flener, Rayleigh Flener and Haylei Rodriguez.
