Morris Eugene Buchanan, 87, of Manitou, KY, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023, at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN.

He was born on July 12, 1935, in Ennis, KY, to the late Laura Breedlove Buchanan and Ed Buchanan. He was formerly employed as a dozier operator for Don Bowles at Charolais Coal Mines. He loved gardening, fishing, hunting, cooking, and telling stories. Mr. Eugene enjoyed fixing things, working on the farm, and watching westerns. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-six years, Edna Carter Buchanan; and his siblings, Bessie Mae Parker, Waneta Bower, Edgar Buchanan, James Buchanan, Raymond Buchanan, Bob Buchanan, Harlan Buchanan, George Buchanan, and Lucille Thomas.

Survivors include his daughter, Regina Lynn Buchanan of Manitou; sister, Joyce Prow; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Concord Cemetery in Manitou, KY with family and friends giving his eulogy.
